Does anyone within, oh probably 50 miles, of Hanover, New Hampshire have a TDI, manual transmission New Beetle I could put a couple of miles on today or tomorrow just to see what it's like? Doesn't have to be an Oppo, it could just be someone you know. Thanks! Have a really nice Turbo S for your time.

all vw's feel the same....go drive any tdi 5 speed vw at a used car lot and thats what it will be like

Borrow a same-year TDI Jetta or Golf if you can't find a TDI beetle - same chassis. The drive is the same - interior and exterior are different but same underpinnings and powertrain.
